What is a COB LED video wall?

COB packaging mounts the LED dies directly to the board and seals them beneath a protective layer, rather than leaving individual packages exposed to knocks and handling.

A sealed black surface and 13-bit greyscale give layered shadow detail rather than crushed black, with the colour consistency and flatness expected of broadcast-level display. As a rule of thumb, the finer the pitch the closer people can stand before the pixel structure becomes visible. P0.7 suits boardrooms and lobbies where viewers are within a few metres; P1.5 covers larger canvases at lower cost per square metre where the nearest viewer is further back.

What pixel pitch do I need for an indoor LED video wall?

Four: P0.7 at 0.78125mm, P0.9 at 0.9375mm, P1.2 at 1.25mm and P1.5 at 1.5625mm. Finer pitches suit closer viewing distances; wider pitches cover larger canvases at lower cost per square metre. All four share the same 600 × 337.5mm cabinet.
