Load bearing

Rated for what you actually put on it.

High-pressure die-cast cabinets with compression-resistant frames carry up to 2.0 t/m², depending on model. That covers full choreography, scenic elements, camera dollies and vehicle reveals without derating the surface or building a separate deck underneath.

Two decisions drive the labour cost of a floor: how long it takes to get level, and whether a dead module means lifting the deck. Quantum addresses both.

Adjustable feet, 12–72 mm

Height-adjustable feet sit under each cabinet, so an uneven venue floor gets levelled at the foot rather than shimmed by hand. Rail installation is available where a fixed subframe suits the room better.

Magnetic front access

Modules lift out from the front with no rear clearance and no need to break the surrounding grid — the same mechanism whether the panels are laid flat or hung vertically. A module swap happens between cues instead of between shows.

The mask sets how the floor reads on camera, how much grip it has underfoot, and how much abuse it survives. Three options, specified per order.

COB pressed

Lowest reflectivity

Low-reflection, high-contrast surface with a fine seamless finish. The default choice for XR volumes and virtual production, where the camera sees the floor as often as the audience does.

PC

Best value under pressure

High pressure resistance and an anti-slip finish with no visible support points, at a lower cost per square metre. Suited to touring, retail and high-traffic activations.

Tempered glass

Toughest surface

Strong load capacity, water-resistant and anti-slip, corrosion-resistant and deformation-proof. The option for semi-outdoor installs and anything exposed to weather or spillage.

Before you specify

Questions we get asked first.

How much weight can the floor take?
Load bearing depends on the model. P1.25 through P2.6 are rated at 1.0 t/m². P2.9, P3.9 and P6.2 are rated at 1.5–2.0 t/m². The cabinets use high-pressure die-cast, compression-resistant frames. Confirm the exact rating for your configuration on your quoted spec pack before you commit to a vehicle or heavy scenic load.
Which pixel pitch should I choose for an XR stage?
Pitch follows camera distance. Tighter pitches — 1.25 to 1.95 mm — suit close camera work where the floor fills frame, and pair with the COB pressed mask for low reflectivity. Wider pitches from 2.97 mm up are brighter and more economical per square metre, which suits live events and audience-facing floors where the camera sits further back.
Can a module be replaced without lifting the floor?
Yes. Modules are magnetically front-accessible, so a failed module is pulled and swapped from the surface with no rear clearance required and no need to dismantle surrounding cabinets. The same mechanism works when the panels are installed vertically as a wall.
What is the difference between the COB, PC and tempered glass masks?
COB pressed gives the lowest reflectivity and highest contrast, which is why it is the usual choice for XR and virtual production. PC is pressure-resistant, anti-slip and more cost-effective, with a clean surface free of visible support points. Tempered glass is the toughest — water-resistant, anti-slip, corrosion-resistant and deformation-proof — and is the option for semi-outdoor use.
Can the same panels be used on walls and ceilings?
Yes. The 250 mm module and 500 mm cabinet platform supports hanging, curved and stacked installations as well as floor use, so one inventory can form the floor, walls and ceiling of an enclosed volume.
How is the floor levelled on an uneven venue surface?
Height-adjustable feet fit under each cabinet and adjust across a 12–72 mm range, so the deck is levelled at the foot rather than shimmed. Rail installation is also available where a fixed subframe is a better fit for the room.
What power and signal does it need?
The system runs on AC 110–240 V at 50/60 Hz. Average power draw is 270 W/m² across most models and 300 W/m² on P1.25, with a maximum of 800 W/m². Control is synchronous from a control PC over DVI, with support for Composite, S-Video, Component, VGA, DVI, HDMI and HD-SDI sources.
